project: ultra-low energy house

This is a visualisation for the design of a four bedroomed passive house. The accommodation comprises a double garage with additional space for bike storage, shower room, utility, kitchen, snug, dining and living space on the ground floor, with four bedrooms, home office, family bathroom and plant room space on the first floor. The total floor area is 233m2.

The design has a very efficient layout, and would be certified to meet Code of Sustainable Homes level 5/6, and Passivhaus standards.

The main elevation to all the habitable rooms face south to benefit from the solar gain during the winter, and summer shading is provided with a cantilevered first floor level, plus deep reveals for the windows.
